MEET OUR STAFF
Our pastors care and believe God desires to bring His Kingdom into your life situations. At Resurrection Free Methodist Church, our staff consists of pastors committed to preaching, teaching, caring for the flock, and reaching out into the community. Some of their strengths include apologetics, church history, healing ministry, prayer, and Biblical teaching. They are the faces behind the daily upkeep of the Church, and the reason behind our ability to smoothly run our events and services. Contact us today and speak with one of our staff members!
Pastor Ron
Senior Pastor
Our senior pastor, Rev. Ron Simon is passionate about serving the Lord and it shows in his love for God and for people. Pastor Ron first came to RFMC in 2019 as associate pastor and worship leader and stepped into the leadership role in 2021. With his guitar ready, he also continues to use his musical talents to lead the congregation into God’s presence.
Pastor Ron is married to his beautiful wife Jennifer Simon who attends with their daughter Gracie.
Pastor Ron has served in pastoral roles for several Free Methodist Churches since 2012, at one point beginning a house church from his home. His heart for the poor and disenfranchised is evident in his past involvement with the Midwest City Jail ministry and his active role in the Bread of Life Food Bank for nearly 16 years.
At Resurrection, Pastor Ron was instrumental in beginning the Breaking Bread Ministry which provides food for individuals in poverty and homelessness. Two Saturdays a month, a team from the church goes out to serve hot food and express God’s love to men and women living in homeless camps throughout the metro area.
Ron serves as a bi-vocational pastor and works full time at Tinker AFB for the last 21 years and has worked as an aircraft sheet metal mechanic for over 30 years, beginning in 1986. He maintains a small farm on the east side of Oklahoma City and very much loves his little farm. He raises sheep, donkeys, chicken, guineas and of course dogs and his beloved barn cats. Pastor Ron has a simple motto by which he lives—love God and love each other as we have been commanded in the Holy Word of God.
